This collection of things grew a bit out of hand. I ordered and ordered. In addition to our new Lauren block print pillow covers and table linens, I have classic cafe plates and platters, a new rattan tray, glass French pantry jars, cheese knives, vanilla beans, straw hats, paper-covered trays, our favorite truffle chips and sea salts. All things that reminded me of living beautifully and intentionally.
New Art & Mat Options
I have been busy building our collection of art prints, botanicals and new mat options. I have a new collection of Botanicals with a cream background that I designed for our Hearth room and framed them in a new Sage Mat Board. They feel fresh and subtle - even a bit contemporary with their minimalism.
I was thrilled to see so many botanical prints and Herbarium collections in France (more details on our trip details to come). I confirmed that you can't have too many framed botanicals on your walls - much to my relief. They were everywhere!
The Herbarium Collection
I have redesigned my Aunt Lisa's Herbarium Collection from college and added labels with her notes from the original of her days at Mizzou in the 70's. Now, you can see the exact date that Lisa Rolls collected them in, on which hillside in Missouri. I think it's so charming. I have hung the originals in our living room. They make great conversation pieces.
When we travel, I live for that moment when everyone is dressed for dinner after a busy day and we have a drink and some nibbles for cocktail hour. I love when boutique hotels or lounges bring out a jar of olives, chips or nuts - usually in a chic silver bowl or glass. At home, I've started our own ritual while I'm making dinner. I keep these jars filled with little snacks to get out each night. Our favorites are Truffle Chips, cornichon and cheese. The perfect thing for a glass of wine or sparkling water to start the night. The jars keep them fresh and doubles as a charming serving piece.
A few years ago I outfitted most of my spice cabinet and our pantry with glass jars and it remains to be one of my most enjoyed upgrades. Highly recommend this little treat for your cabinets.
Favorites
There are quite a few of my own little favorites in this collection like real Vanilla Beans, the best Maldon Salt, and Truffle Potato Chips. These are all gifts I give in real life and that I use at home. In addition to stocking the online shop, I have been planning the re-opening our Lexington shop and wanted to include all of these little somethings that are my staples.
